Living healthily is not as difficult as it seems but for many people "health" is an abstract notion that has no real value. It is sad but true that many people start appreciating that health is their most valuable asset only after they lose it but still there are also millions of people of either gender, any age and nationality that are health-conscious. Our homes are more dangerous than battle fields. There are so many injuries and fatalities that happen at home that probably only car accidents are ahead in the number of victims. And the worst is that very often small home modification and repair can help prevent accidents such as falls. So, it pays off to rearrange your home and replace all dangerous areas (like steep staircases or cupboards high in the sky). Prevention is better than treatment, right?

Feeling warm is cozy but when you are exposed to excessive heat, this is bad not only if you have heart conditions or high blood pressure but even if you are in perfect health. There are widely accepted standards for room temperature and none of them includes 30 degrees C (or 85 F) to be normal room temperature. Normal room temperature is in the range 18-21 C (63-72 F). Anything above or below that is unhealthy.

Wash Your Hands With Soap and Water
It might sound incredible to give such piece of advice but it is a fact that many people just forget to wash their hands with soap and water! In many cases, unless your hands are very, very dirty, you wash your hands only with water and that's all. But when you wash your hands with water, this does not remove the bacteria from them. In order to remove the bacteria, wash your hands at least three times a day with water and soap. Even better – use antibacterial soap, especially during the flu season.
